Great Kindle Deals on LDS/Clean Romance Books

Woohoo! There is a flash sale this weekend on a few LDS/Clean Romance titles that I either love or can't wait to add to my collection for only a dollar or two. There are some deals on first books in a series, free books to try, and some deals in titles to pre-order. (I'm starting to pre-order the Kindle versions and look for the paperbacks at my leisure in the local thrift stores.)

Books on Sale I Love and Recommend:

The Masked Baron by Anneka R. Walker $1

Regency Romance. Andalin is surprised to finally be taken on one of her father's many travels, but that surprise quickly turns to apprehension traveling the roads of the ominous Black Forest. She is rescued from danger by the mysterious Black Rider but is forced to come with him. A Beauty and the Beast retelling.

Towers of Brierley by Anita Stansfield $1

One of the few Stansfield novels I actually like. A historical romance of Scotland where man and maid flee a mansion and help each other discover and heal from the secrets of the past. Still a little corny, but beautiful and emotional as well. The first novel in the series extension is also on sale, but I haven't read it yet. Or you can read the entire Brierley series of 5 books (with an LDS tie-in) for only $3 here.

The Skeleton in My Closet Wears a Wedding Dress by Sally Johnson $2

This is the book that made me fall in love with Sally Johnson's humorous writing. After a year of marriage, college student Sophia returns to school a divorced woman, juggling classes and trying to earn back her husband's love. But as she matures she realizes there may be more to life than a marriage with a boy who doesn't want her.

An Unlikely Match by Sarah M. Eden $1

Anytime you can find an Eden Regency romance for under $5 is a steal. This may not be my favorite story, but it's certainly worth the read and perfect for Halloween. Nickolas unexpectedly inherits a castle and instead of spending his efforts wooing the girl of his dreams, he spends increasing amounts of time with his castle's resident ghost.

Twisted Fate by Abramson, Luke, and Black $1

A fun set of thrillers for Halloween. Three LDS suspense authors unite to create odd stories and thrilling circumstances. If you're a fan of Abramson's Undercurrents trilogy, you'll recognize CJ's roommate Jill and her husband from that series. A fun introduction to the authors if you haven't read them yet.

Obsession by Traci Hunter Abramson $1

I already own a paperback copy of this, but $1 is too great a price to pass up on one of my favorite books in the Saints Squad series. This is a companion to the series, about the youngest Whitmore sibling, FBI agent Charlie, and his task to protect famous singer Kendra Blake from a terrifying stalker.

You Came for Me by Sian Ann Bessey $1

One of her more corny romantic suspense novels, but I love it all the same. Ellie Hansen returns to London to revisit favorite spots and people from her mission and runs into Austin Robbins, an acquaintance from high school who is now a famous pop star. As she shows him the sights of London, she takes a picture of something she isn't supposed to and suddenly her life is in danger as she tries to understand the significance. You can also read Bessey's thriller The Insider for $4 right now.

Code Red by Jennie Hansen $2

Probably my favorite suspense novel by Hansen, and less corny than many of her other novels. As a child, Nicole was convinced she had witnessed the execution of her father, but with time and counseling she's left that vague nightmare behind. Back on the base to help out her sister's family she returns to the site in her nightmares only to discover that the event was all too real . . . and the murderers know she was there.

Do No Harm by Gregg Luke $3

Gregg Luke is not for everyone--his stories can be a little strange. A widower relocates to a small town to run the local pharmacy and with the help of a local discovers there are sinister forces at work in a local hospital. You can also try Infected for $1 (which I haven't read), his short story in Twisted Fate (mentioned above), or The Survivors for $3.

Amazing Series Starters to Try Under $3:

Books I Can't Wait to Read:

Deadly by Design by Paige Edwards $1

This book has been on my reading list for a while now and I'm so glad to try this suspense author. Formula One engineer Jack discovers that his car's designs have been leaked to another company and goes undercover with the help of MI6 to find the culprit of corporate espionage and sabotage.

Unforgettable by Ronda Gibb Hinrichsen $1

Combines World War II intrigue with heart-pounding suspense in the present day. Haley learns the great-grandfather she thought dead has been murdered in Germany and travels there at her great-grandmother's request. As she tries to unravel the mystery of what happened to the brilliant toy maker and artist, she comes closer to a conspiracy that puts her life in immediate danger. Will she survive long enough to find the truth about her family's legacy?

Sabrina and Kate by Cheri J. Crane $1

From the popular young adult Kate series. Kate's younger sister Sabrina is excited to start high school until things take a dramatic turn.

A Stranger Watches by Kathi Oram Peterson $1

Another suspense author I need to try. Kyra receives a strange birthday card from her estranged father, but when she tries to visit him, she learns he's missing. As she works with the sheriff to discover her father's whereabouts they grow closer, but someone is watching her closely, waiting for the moment she finally learns too much.

The Redgrave Murders by A. L. Sowards $1

I have a few books by this author and I still need to read them!!! A post-WWII suspense novel. After a car crash, Evie Hampton learns the brake lines were cut on her father's car. As she investigates who wants them dead, evidence seems to point to her boyfriend, scarred from his war efforts and with no alibi to defend him. As she beings to piece together the evidence it becomes startlingly obvious that someone doesn't want her to live long enough to uncover the truth.

Eleanor and the Iron King by Julie Daines $1

Medieval Romance. Eleanor's marriage is the price of her father's treaty with his enemy and Eleanor is determined to lock her heart against him. But Welsh king Brach Goch is handsome and kind, not the monster other paint him. Can she protect her heart and her homeland?

A Tangled Inheritance by Chalon Linton $1

A new Regency author I've been meaning to try; I've enjoyed her shorter stories in Christmas collections. The usual trope of a woman who must marry soon to secure her fortune and must choose between her head and her heart.

Love Redesigned by Jenny Proctor $1

I've loved Jenny Proctor's books and I'm excited to read this one I missed. Dani leaves her New York job in fashion to return to her hometown in the South, only to be met with her ex-boyfriend, the son of her former boss. A second-chance contemporary romance. And my favorite Proctor novel Love at First Note is only $4 right now.

From Sand and Ash by Amy Harmon $2

An author I recently discovered; I just read and reviewed her book Running Barefoot a few weeks ago. This is a WWII novel about a Jewish woman, a Catholic priest, and the their journey together to save their country, their friends, and each other.

Pretty Much Perfect by Sally Johnson $3

Returned missionary Camille is eager to return to college, but is inspired to pick up a hitchhiker that derails her careful life plans. As she is increasingly drawn into the stranger's world of music of fame, can she truly find a place with Liam or will this journey simply be a beautiful detour?

Lakeshire Park by Megan Walker $3

This Regency romance is on sale for the first time since its release. I've heard great things about it, but haven't finished it yet. The heroine really bothered me in the beginning and I gave up, but I'm also determined to try again. Amelia is eager to secure a match to save her family, but a quarrel with another guest may ruin her chances unless she can play by his rules.
