Kindle Deals Friday July 10, 2020

It's been hard to care about book deals the last month with COVID concerns causing issues with PTA and school planning, but I'll highlight at least a few deals today.

This is the first book I ever read by Elizabeth Camden and I found it fascinating. Anna works at the Library of Congress and ropes a congressman into helping her solve a mystery. The characters were intriguing and imperfect, the setting beautiful (I've always wanted to work in a library!), and the mystery a darker side of history. It's a clean, Christian Romance that whet my appetite for her writing and impeccable research. Only $2 now on Kindle. Also available in Kindle Unlimited.

Isn't the cover beautiful? This is a Christian-themed Western by author Kari Trumbo. I admit she's an author that I keep buying and rarely reading, but I hope to rectify that soon. Natalie moves with her father to a new town to stay with relatives and meets Cody, an amputee who could use the prosthetics her father makes, but doesn't want her help or interference. This is a Kindle Countdown Deal of $1 for the weekend. Also available in KU.

I haven't read this author yet, but this looks like a fine place to start. Clean, suspenseful Western romance collection FREE on Kindle or available in KU.

I pre-ordered this book a month or two ago and was glad to find it in my inbox last week. The only problem? It's taken all of my reading time the last week. There are 24 short stories in here by various authors and they each take 20-30 minutes to read. I'm almost finished with the collection and so far there's only been one dud. Most of the stories are fun, engaging, and well-written. This is a great introduction to unknown authors and I have added at least five more books to my TBR pile. This is a good theme for COVID times, but only a few stories actually deal with quarantine; I was impressed by the breadth of circumstances. I paid all $4 for it, but it's available now as a Countdown Deal for $1. I'll be pre-ordering the next set which comes out in September.
