I don't know if you've come across these fairy tale collections collected from around the world and retold by Andrew Lang, but I love the ones I've read. I looked through the samples given and each one has beautiful black and white illustrations that make it worth paying the price (when you can get Project Gutenberg versions for free). I hope they come out with more illustrated volumes soon.
